Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash

images (13)When they all woke up, they were in a dark room. Awaken… the sound of a voice saying this word is all that they remember. They are here now, in the world of Grimgar. The fairly large group of people find themselves in a sort of medieval time. They are gathered up and told that the way to make money is to join the Reserve Army Forces and kill monsters. They have to kill monsters in order to make money. Their items make good trade in the market.

Groups are soon formed, and of course, there are always the rejects. These rejects came together, for alone their survival would be impossible. In order to become a successful party, they must choose a guild and become precise at their craft. The party consists of: Haruhiro the thief, Yume the hunter, Shihoru the mage, Ranta the dark knight, Moguzo the warrior, and Manato the priest.

They soon find that hunting monsters, even something as simple as a lonely goblin, is difficult. They try and try again, but aren’t successful. It takes them a while to learn how

Heaven’s Lost Property

unduhan (19)“Peace and quiet are the best.” These are the words that Tomoki lives by. He is your average teenage boy, doing average teenage boy things. Of course, he is a bit of a pervert, but who could blame his poor raging hormones. Our story revolves around his daily life, exciting right? Well there is the childhood friend that lives across the street that has a habit of karate chopping him across the head whenever he performs one of his perverted acts. That’s always entertaining. Then there is the weird, pseudo-scientist that goes by the name of Eishiro. He’s a bit of an odd ball; he actually begins every episode with a kind of history lesson, then goes on to some bit about the “New World.” Oh yeah, the “New World” is his absolute obsession. Last, but certainly not least, we have Mikako. She is the student body class president, completely sadistic, and her family is practically the mob. That makes up about half our main characters.

The story actually starts one night when Tomoki was supposed to meet up with Eishiro to check out

Weekly Review GATE

unduhan (18)Yoji Itami is the kind of person that normal people look down upon. He’s a nerd, he’s lazy, and his only motivation to do anything with his life is to provide him with money to spend on his game. Being that, a nerd, he knows exactly what to do whenever a gate appears in the middle of the city, and a fantasy-like army starts attacking civilians through it. Itami storms onto the streets, protecting civilians and directing them toward safety, all the while facing the wrath of the invading army. Sounds pretty heroic, right? Well, the only reason he acted was because he didn’t want his game’s event to get cancelled, but still, heroic.

On the other hand, Japan is not taking the situation lightly. In just a few short months time, they are sending an army through the gate, which includes Itami. Itami, believe it or not, is actually a pretty decently ranked soldier in the SDF (Special Defense Force). In fact, he actually has training underneath at least two separate special forces units, those which turn out only the best soldiers. On

Top 3 Anime Series

#3 – Neon Genesis Evangelion

You know how they say you never forget your first time? Well that applies to me with this anime; Neon Genesis Evangelion was the first anime series that I ever really got into. The show had an addicting combination of action, drama, and suspense. I had to keep watching in order to find out what would happen to the characters that I had come to be attached to. The series did a fantastic job at progressing the characters throughout the series, especially through the rough moments. As a viewer, I felt for the main characters as they went through the challenges that the story put them through.

If you haven’t ever heard of Evangelion, it’s a pretty awesome show, though very depressing in the end. The basis is the world is recovering from a global catastrophe known as second impact, and according to sacred documents known as the Dead Sea Scrolls, powerful creatures known as angels are going to be coming to attack. A military organization known as NERV takes the front in the defense of mankind. Their weapon? Mysterious, yet powerful, humanoid robots known as the evangelion, or eva for short. Their pilots have to be

Weekly Review SAO Abridged

Hello, and welcome back to another week of anime! This week we are taking a look at the YouTube sensation Sword Art Online: Abridged. The parody is produced by a group of individuals known as Something Witty Entertainment. The group created the series as a parody of the already popular Sword Art Online series, and it quickly caught on. Their expert editing skills along with some incredibly humorous dialogue are only a few reasons for the series’ popularity. Something Witty Entertainment has also gained a lot of respect as every episode starts out clarifying that the original series is owned by specific companies and that the viewer should support the official release. This covers themselves, and also looks good as they support an already successful franchise.

So you haven’t seen or heard anything about Sword Art Online? Really? Well, the series is about a young teenager named Kazuto who joins the world of Sword Art Online, an incredible breakthrough virtual reality MMORPG. However, as Kazuto and the ten thousand others like him soon realize, the game is a death trap. They soon find themselves trapped within the virtual world with the only hope of escape being to clear all 100 floors

Weekly Review Re Zero

Our main protagonist in the series is a high school student known as Subaru. Subaru is the lazy type that prefers to stay locked up in his room playing games and such. He has no real aspirations for life, which he lives a moment at a time. On his way back from a convenience store one night he suddenly appears into another world. As he looks around, confused, he identifies the world as a fantasy land. His gaming instincts kick into gear as he starts assessing his surroundings. He finds that he speaks the same language as the people here, but his clothes and currency are no good. The items he has on his person from his world are also unknown to this, items such as his cell phone.

While sitting down in an alley contemplating his first move, and waiting for a gorgeous woman to present herself to him like in most fantasy situations, he is attacked by a group that want his items. Thinking in the mindset of a game and that he should have super strength, he punches the first two and goes for the third. When the last foe pulls out a knife, he woefully bows in

Anime Vs Cartoons What’s the Difference

In the “Anime” community, for most fans and followers, “Anime” is “Anime and “Cartoons” are “Cartoons”. For them both of the things are really different from each other.

First of all, many people get confused between an Anime and a Cartoon, just because both are animated that doesn’t mean that they both are same. There are so many differences in Anime and Cartoons. While both are caricatures that may be animated, anime usually has visually distinct features for characters. So, here I will now explain the difference between these two. Anime are Japanese animated production, that come in different formats like, television series such as dragon ball z, Naruto, one piece etc., animated short films, and full-length movies. But cartoons are two-dimensional illustrated visual art, non-realistic or semi-realistic drawings.

Anime characters have distinct facial and physical features that are very similar to reality, their big eyes and small mouth are created because of cuteness. On the other hand, cartoons physical features are very far from reality than anime. Anime characters also show different kinds of distinguishable facial expressions whereas cartoons don’t.

Cartoons are generally made to make people laugh, so the genre mainly is comedy. But there are also many cartoons that are

Transformers War for Cybertron

Given the exponential increase in the playability of the Transformers games from one generation to the next, the third installment in the blockbuster movie-video-game adaptation was the most highly anticipated release yet. Strangely enough, it was actually the only game in the series not tied to the plot of the movie at all, diverging from the exploits of the Transformers on Earth, to the travails of their original home world of Cybertron (just in case the title didn’t tip you off).

Fans and critics alike were mostly awed by the vast mechanical structures that spanned the planet Cybertron, itself, and the series-consistent increase in graphics capability. We never see Earth in War for Cybertron, and given the repetitive nature of the environment in both Transformers: The Game and Revenge of the Fallen, maybe that’s a good thing.

High Moon Studios Produces War for Cybertron

Once again, the developers at High Moon Studios stuck with what worked in the previous games: the splitting of campaigns. You can either start with the Decepticon campaign, which is centered on a new, dark source of Energon discovered by the relentless Megatron, and the powers and abilities it wields; or, begin as an Autobot which is, obviously, a

Visual Effects Animator

Who is a Visual Effects Animator?

A visual effects animator is a professional that’s responsible for special effects in films. Now interestingly, they focus on the special effects that cannot be added during the live action shoot. For example, a lot of times, the green screen is used when shooting actors in the studio.

The actual, exciting background we see in the movie however is inserted later. Similarly, these professionals are also responsible for actually creating entire characters. As such all they use is computer software programs to create these entities and integrate them in the film. These characters can be so lively that they can also interact with live action characters.

Remember the dinosaurs and the Anaconda in those blockbuster movies? Well that’s what the visual effects animators can do! Thus the TV shows, commercials, films and other such projects actually become more realistic and exciting.

Background Education / Training

Though it may be safely said that you do not require a formal study to be a visual animator, they certainly train themselves hard and create a strong background in multimedia art and animation. Most of them actually work a other artists and work on their story telling and aesthetic skills for long before

The Seven Deadly Sins

Hello there! I’m back and ready for another week of reviews! Miss me? This week we are talking about a show that I recently finished and couldn’t wait to write about: The Seven Deadly Sins. This was one of those shows where my girlfriend was nagging me to watch it saying how it was “amazing and hilarious.” I finally got around to watching it after I learned the English voice for the main lead character was Bryce Papenbrook (same voice for Kirito from SAO, and Eren from AoT). I have to say, I am very happy I watched this anime. Even though it has only been a year since its release, I’m praying for a sequel soon, as they did leave the door wide open (cough cough they could’ve called it the six deadly sins… wink wink).

Anyway, what in the heck is this anime series about? Well, we find out a lot of information over the course of the entire series, and get blatantly reminded every opening scene with the booming voice of “This is a story… “, but I’ll sum it up in my own words. The kingdom is known as Britannia, and it is ruled by a king

What Is the Role of Animatronics

Animatronics is a process of building mechanized puppets or full-size costumes that resemble animals, dinosaurs, or other imaginary creatures, and made to look quite lifelike. The idea behind animatronics was first created by Disney Studios back in the 1950s for use in some of their early films. Plus, it is possible to combine the mechanized movements with other special effects in an attempt to create the more convincing look and a greater level of realism.

In addition to using this technology in the film studios it is a common sight in many of the popular theme or amusement parks, which many feature birds or other creatures in special shows to entertain guests.

What features are involved?

Animatronics can vary significantly with basic to very complex designs. The most basic animatronics are built with basic sound recording features and have the ability to make one or two simple movements. For the more advanced designs it is possible to include software that can complete specific moves, and can even be remotely controlled. On the most complex designs the engineers will create the costumes using the latest special effects technology that includes realistic skin, highly flexible joints, and lifelike actions or sounds.

The creation process starts with

Sky Wizards Academy

Do you want your loved ones to remember you when you die? What if, whenever you passed, perhaps in glorious combat defending your city from the likes of robotic beasts that were devour every person there, you are unhanded. You meet your untimely end… but then, your parents forget who you are. They can’t mourn you because they didn’t even know you existed. Your favorite shop down the road that you used to go to every day and bicker with the shop keeper now has no record of your existence either. Your life has been erased.

Thus is the life of a wizard in the realm of this story. They are particularly powerful humans who are able to use weapons that make them even more dangerous, and they are the only defense against flying, robotic-like insects that want nothing more than to destroy everything. After all, that’s why humanity has been driven to the sky, into floating cities of armor. Kanata is a young man that was known, and pretty much still is, as the best of the best. His squad were tops of the academy, ranked S wizards who could mow down foes as if they weren’t even there. However,

My Favourite Anime

Hello, and welcome to my favorite anime post.

This post is about… well, my favorite anime shows.

I know that many people aren’t drawn to this sort of thing (anime) but there are also many people who do.

I love watching anime… it doesn’t feel strange or weird to me. It’s much (much) different from animation. They are really not one and the same. At all.

I’ve been watching anime for 6 years now (ever since I was 12). I watched some anime shows when I was little (like cardcaptor Sakura) but I didn’t know they were anime at the time. not until much later.

I love anime as much as I love watching TV shows.

So here you have it. Welcome to my favorite Anime post (hope you enjoy!).

*In case of any occasional spoilers I’ll be sure to mark them but most of this review will be spoiler free, so not to worry about being spoilered*

Sword Art Online (a.k.a SAO)

Science fiction, Fantasy, Romance, Monsters, Sword fighting, Adventures, Fun times, sad times… this show has it ALL.

SERIOUSLY.

From the moment I started it I knew It was the anime for me.

Everything was combined together in the most perfect way.

I’ve watched it so many times and every time

Titans of Strength and Power

If you are among the droves of fans who think that a battle between The Hulk and Superman would be an absolute gem, then you are right where you should be.

Superman speaks to us. What he stands for resonates with each and every person; he is the ideal hero. Superman is the symbol of all that’s virtuous and strong. He speaks to the part of us that needs some assurance that someone has our backs. Few can match his strength, most notably, The Incredible Hulk.

You don’t have to be into superhero action films to know that a Superman versus Hulk tussle is something that we would pay to watch. However, if we do see a comic book episode or a summer blockbuster with the two, the question will remain, between The Man Of Steel and the incredible Hulk, who would come out on top?

Hulk, Bruce Banner’s alter-ego is debatably Marvel’s top strongman. However, ruling out his DC fellow powerhouse, Superman, considered as sheer power in a cape, would be frowned upon.

Superman vs. Incredible Hulk: the demolition derby.

We won’t be comparing power levels today. We’re checking out strength.

Who is pushing three entire Manhattans like it’s a bad yo-yo, not who’s ripping

Weekly Review Konosuba

Hello there! Welcome for another week of anime reviews! This week we are taking a look at an anime series that I have just recently began watching, so this will be more of a first take or first impression review. I am currently five episodes into the series, and have a good grasp on what is going on in the story. Before you say it, yes, it’s another one of those fantasy, RPG-like anime series. I like them, so sue me!

Our story follows that of a teenager named Kazuma. He is your typical gamer, usually shuts himself inside of his room playing games all day, you know, the works. However, on this certain day, he decides that he will go on a journey. A magnificent journey that will take over five hours on a round trip bus in order to grab a very valuable possession… a new game, but a limited edition one! Upon exiting the bus, new game in hand, we see our main protagonist walking down the street and passing by a girl. After a few steps he turns around to see her about to get hit by a vehicle. Uncharacteristically, and he even says so himself, he

Flash Websites With Attention-Grabbing Traits An Interactive Approach With Animation!

Every type of online business wants a website which can captivate the audience through its design and appearance. How beautifully you can help people in understanding your content, depends on how you represent your content. People can grasp the animated content in a much efficient way than the static. They can also catch the meaning you want to make them understand through these animated sections of a website, without reading the content.

If you want to add animation into your website to attract visitors, then you can choose flash as the development technology. There are a lot of advantages of using flash for the development of your business website. This is the best technology for the people who run some kid-centric, multimedia, gaming, or fashion business. However, you can also use this technology to design your e-commerce portal. However, this technology is being criticized from a few years for the huge loading time and lack of compatibility with several platforms. Despite this, flash is still popular in the IT market for building attractive websites with animated effects.

Weekly Review Erased

We’ve all had those moments, those moments where something goes horribly wrong and you happened to be there. In that moment you probably think about how you might of been able to change the outcome, if you would of just done something, anything, it would’ve adverted a disastrous outcome. Satoru Fujinuma is a man that has a very special ability; the ability to go back in time in moments that he could make a difference. He calls the phenomenon “Revival.” Unlike a superpower, he can’t control it. Whenever it happens, it’s more like a deja vu effect, except for the fact that he remembers what happened before the incident, instead of during or after, like most of us. He notes that Revival usually takes him back anywhere between five to ten minutes, at which point he knows something is about to happen and peers around his surroundings for anything out of place.

At this point you might be thinking, okay, well who is this guy? The basic run down is that Satoru is a manga artist and works part time as a delivery guy. There are hints that he isn’t very successful in his manga artist career as the first episode

Weekly Review Charlotte

Where to begin! Welcome back fro another week of anime show reviews! This week we are going to be taking a look at an anime series that I really wasn’t expecting a whole lot from. Like some of the other shows I watch, it was suggested to me rather than me finding it. Since it was a suggestion, I didn’t even read the description, I just hopped on in and hoped for the best. Now, at the time, I was just trying to get over a really gripping anime show, so I figured this would be a good laugh and a filler until I find the next in-depth show, being as this show only has 12 (or 13?) episodes. Man, was I in for a rude awakening!

So the basis of this anime series is relatively simple, but the plot itself doesn’t really come into affect until about halfway through the show. In this show’s reality, some adolescents find themselves developing mysterious powers. For example: super speed, invisibility, flying, etc. The powers follow no real pattern, and there isn’t a whole lot of information about the powers at the beginning of the anime. All we know is that some kids have

Aldnoah Zero

Heavens Fall… the day that is still stuck in every mind of every Terran, who are Earth born, and Versian, who are Mars born. It began when human’s exploration took them to the red planet of Mars. Once there, a man, the future first king of the Vers Empire, discovered an ancient, alien technology known as Aldnoah. With Aldnoah, the people of Mars were able to advance their technology at a very rapid rate, and soon split from the people of Earth. From the moment that the Vers Empire announced it’s split from the people of Earth, the seeds of war were planted.

It came. Utilizing a technology known as the Hypergate, the Vers Empire was able to transport their units instantly to Earth’s moon. However, for reasons that are still very unclear, during a battle on the moon, the Hypergate went out of control. This was known as Heavens Fall. The moon was left shattered nearly in half, and the destruction across the landscape of Earth was massive. Without a way to quickly send out troops, the Vers Empire backed off; however, they still had plenty of troops left in Earth’s orbit, namely the Orbital Knights. The Orbital Knights are

Cosplay Costumes – Overview and Meaning

Cosplay costumes are a common way of dressing in most of the countries today. This word is derived from the two English words, costume and play. This is a style where people adorn the costumes of their favourite characters from various sources and wear matching accessories along with it. This dressing style originated in Japan. People drew inspiration from characters in cartoon, comedy, sci-fi, comedy, films, books, video games, anime and manga series that were hugely popular in Japan. Let us look at some of the concepts around this kind of dressing.

Why do people resort to cosplay style of dressing?

Almost anyone can dress up in cosplay costumes, as there are no gender-specific restrictions here. This is probably one of the main reasons as to why this style of dressing is quite famous among people in most of the countries today. You can dress up in any character that impresses you, without being concerned about its style and mannerism. In some parts of the globe, cosplay style of dressing has become more of a sexy costume in the recent past. There are lots of conventions that happen all through the year in various geographies, where people who dress up in various
